You would use the same amount, but see my note at the bottom of the recipe card about needing to cook it a bit longer. That’s because the maple syrup adds a bit more moisture. Enjoy!

Hi Kay – you’ll likely get less of a crust if you place the prime rib in a Dutch oven, because less air will circulate around it. But if you’re okay with that, then yes, go ahead and use a Dutch oven. There’s also no need to preheat your pan. Enjoy!
