APPLE CIDER SAGE PORK CHOPS

So juicy, tender, and easy!

Aim to please with perfectly pan fried pork chops brined in apple cider and cooked with fresh apples and sage.  They look impressive, but between you and me, they’re super easy to make!

For mouthwatering chops, here's  what you'll need.

Make the brining solution then combine the chops and solution in a bowl or bag. Brine for a few hours in the fridge.

STEP 1

Remove chops from brining solution and pat dry with paper towels. Let them come to room temperature.

STEP 2

Heat some of the butter and oil in your cast iron skillet, then sear the chops on all sides until browned. Move them to a separate plate.

STEP 3

Cook the apples in the skillet with butter, sugar, shallots, and sage.

STEP 4

Add the apple cider and mustard to make the sauce. Bring the heat to medium then simmer the chops in the pan until they reach 145°F.
